Better Than Newlyweds

Where the Honeymoon never ends!

Internet pornography offers a “secret highway” to sin.

March 23, 2014 by admin

Almost overnight, the Internet has transformed the world by offering instant information. But when you Go online you can also recognize instantly that “being online” can pose some temptations. It readily appears to one that Internet pornography offers a “secret highway” to sin. Because of the secrecy, this “problem” offers a snare to many people – No matter the sex of a person, or the age.

The ‘problem of sin’ has been here since Adam and Eve – and the temptation to rationalize it or keep it a ‘secret’ has always posed a problem for Christians. The secular world would argue that, “This kind of sin isn’t really a problem,” and further state, “after all, It doesn’t hurt anyone, and No one has to know it!” But God knows everything, and STILL calls us to live a life of purity and obedience.

“Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the voice of the Lord? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams.” (1 Samuel 15:22)

We serve a Mighty God Who abounds in love, mercy and forgiveness. He stands always ‘ready’ to forgive us when we confess our sins to Him through Jesus Christ. And, once He forgives them – He Remembers them No more! But, this does not mean that We are not required to ‘Obey Him.’ He tells us in His Word to renounce sin – Repent of it, and walk away from it – even the sins which seemingly ‘hurt No one,’ and those which are as secret. So, rather than “rationalize” with sin, or cover it up, Be a true Servant to The Lord God and live in obedience to Him and His Word.

My Challenge to You today Is: If There Is ANY ‘Hidden Sin’ in your life – Confess it to God, asking Him to forgive you of it and live a life of obedience to Him and His Word.

God Bless You – and Know that I Love You!

Sincerely,
Charles
